Intermediate Cooking Classes

The intermediate cooking classes are taught in English and classes last about 2.5-3 hours (including dinner time). Even though the class says intermediate level, the classes are taught so even a beginner can understand. First you are given a demonstration on how to make the dishes, and then you will make your own dishes. Afterwards, you get to enjoy what you made. Classes cost 120,000 won (120 USD) per person(No market tours for intermediate classes).

I1 :Vegetarian Temple Cuisine

Prepare a completely vegetarian spread that reflects the cooking methods and lifestyle of Korean Buddhist monks. Begin by creating vegan stock from scratch to cook vegetable stew. Then, make three to five side dishes ; depending on the season, make kimchi, braised tofu, lotus root or shiitake mushroom salads.

I2: Banchan Culture (Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance)
Korean food is known for its vast array of vegetable and meat side dishes that accompany every meal. These small dishes, called banchan, have special techniques and a philosophy for making them. Learn the skills to make 4 or 5 different Korean side dishes.

I3: Korean Barbecue
This is our most popular intermediate class. In this class, you will learn how to make sauces and marinades, along with the techniques to cook with three types of meat (pork, beef, and chicken). We’ll also prepare dipping sauce and seasonal salad to round out the table.
